Principal's Message

I am so grateful to begin my ninth year at Essex Elementary School.  This school community is one that supportive and focused on what is best for children.  Our current MSA scores reflect the dedication of our parents, teachers and staff in the success of our students.  I believe all children can learn. They are capable. Each child possesses talents that are waiting to be discovered. At Essex, we believe that all students will reach their true potential, with the guidance of the school and home in a partnership.

This is our fourth year in the PBIS, or Positive Behavioral Intervention System.  As part of this program, we believe in three basic rules:

Be Respectful

Be Responsible

Be Ready.

          These three simple things will help guide our school community to do our best each day and provide an optimum learning environment for our students.  We encourage you to become a part of our Essex Family and join in on our activities and events.  Our Back to School night is September 1, 2009.  We would love to see you at one of the many events throughout the year.
